I wanted to show a little about the kind of damage I have seen over the years from rodents chewing on the electrical wires. I have had so many customers ask me why they do this and I have heard what some other people have heard told them. My answer is if you think about it the baby rodents are going to have to cut new teeth once born in your attic and walls. Wood has splinters in it and the rubber coating on the wires is the next best thing to teething ring to them. But once they cut teeth then you got real damage or even the worst case being a fire. If you know you have damage from rodents chewing up electrical wires it would be a good idea to have a licensed electrician come in and inspect everything for you more than once.
